Where the Wild Things Are Trailer
This trailer has made me rekindle my romance with Arcade Fire.
And I’m not even a big fan of this book.
Mario Paint, remixed.
When I was a kid, Mario Paint was one of my favorite games for the SNES. It had it all - picture drawing, fly swatting (aka “Gnat Attack” with the SNES MOUSE), and best of all a music composer.
Mario Paint Music Composer let you create and record your own music using special sound effects from random things - ducks, cats, Gameboy, airplanes, cows, etc. I used to spend hours making terrible music.
To my delight, I came across a Mario Paint revolution on YouTube. Turns out that there are a bunch of people out there who still use the music composer to make their own songs.
Here is one of my favorites.
I used to read this site religiously in college. It was the cause of many outbursts of laughter during class when I was too bored to listen to what the professor was saying.
5 years later, I still read Overheard in NY occasionally. It really captures the essence of New York City and the people who live, work, and visit it.
Here are 2 of my all-time favorite posts, for your enjoyment.
1. The source of many days, months, years of laughter:
A hobo picks up a fruit stand banana, holds it to ear like a phone, and says: Hello potassium! — 112th & Frederick Douglass
2. Yes, this was my Object-Oriented Programming professor who was quoted here:
Computer science professor: Never implement a remove method for the iterator interface. Whoever did that deserves to be spanked for a long time. Unless he enjoys it.

“Where Chili-Pepper Lights Meets Christmas-Tree Lights”
24th birthday celebration = BYOB Indian food and LES bars, just how I like it.
Of Montreal - Wraith Pinned to the Mist and Other Games
My favorite music video. Even after a few years it never gets old.

I just bought this Dell 22” LCD monitor. It’s going with the new computer that Joe is building. Very solid purchase.
This has been playing in a loop in my head for days (and I’m not complaining about it).
Let’s not forget that Doogie Howser was the original blogger.
[correction via @joemukai: since he didn’t publish his journal on the internet, Doogie is more like the original clogger (computer logger)]
